Purpose of the job

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented HR Officer to ensure our HR processes run smoothly, compliantly, and efficiently. In this role, you will be at the heart of our HR operations, supporting employees and managers throughout the full employee lifecycle while contributing to recruitment and continuous improvement initiatives.
 
You will take ownership of day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee administration, and benefits. You ensure that all HR processes are accurate, up to date, and compliant with Dutch labour law and internal policies. Maintaining high-quality employee data, managing contracts and lifecycle changes, and ensuring audit readiness are key parts of your role. You actively identify improvements, streamline processes, and translate them into clear and practical SOPs.
 
You will work closely with our external payroll provider to ensure a correct and timely payroll process, including handling elements such as the 30% ruling and assisting with mobility-related processes such as visa and permit applications and extensions.
 
As a first point of contact for employees and managers, you provide clear guidance on HR policies, processes, and benefits. You handle questions and issues with a pragmatic and service-oriented approach, ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience. You will also support benefits administration, acting as a liaison between employees and external providers.
  
Alongside your operational responsibilities, you will support recruitment by coordinating interview processes, scheduling, and candidate communication, helping to ensure a smooth and professional hiring experience. You will also contribute to HR projects and support broader HR initiatives where needed.
 
Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration
  • Execute daily HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee administration, and benefits 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure data integrity within HR systems 
  • Manage employment contracts and employee lifecycle changes in a timely and compliant manner 
  • Ensure HR processes are audit-ready and aligned with internal policies and Dutch legislation 
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for key HR activities 
Payroll & Compliance
  • Coordinate payroll processes with external payroll providers 
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll input and validation 
  • Support payroll-related matters, including the 30% ruling where applicable 
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch labour law and relevant regulations 
Employee Support
  • Act as first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, processes, and benefits 
  • Provide clear and timely guidance and resolve employee queries effectively 
  • Support a consistent and positive employee experience 
Onboarding & Offboarding
  • Facilitate onboarding processes, including documentation, orientation, and integration 
  • Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews and administrative closure 
Benefits Administration
  • Support administration of employee benefits 
  • Act as liaison between employees and external benefits providers 
Mobility & Immigration
  • Coordinate visa and permit applications and extensions with external providers 
HR Systems & Communication
  • Maintain and improve HR SharePoint pages and documentation 
  • Support regular internal HR communications (e.g. bi-weekly updates) 
Recruitment Support
  • Support coordination of recruitment processes
  • Schedule interviews and manage candidate communication 
  • Ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience 
HR Projects
  • Support HR initiatives  
  • Contribute to (ad hoc) HR projects and process improvements

Your profile

  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR Operations or HR Officer role
  • Good understanding of Dutch labour law and HR administration processes
  • Experience with HR administration and payroll coordination
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • A structured, hands-on, and organised way of working
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • Fluency in English; Dutch is a strong plus
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information

  3. Second Interview & Case Study: You'll be invited to a second round of interviews at our office in Amstelveen if the first interview goes well. This stage may also include a case presentation, providing you with an opportunity to showcase your problem-solving skills and industry acumen. On very rare occasions, there might be a follow-up third/final Interview. 
  4. Email Job Offer: Upon successful completion of the interviews, we'll present a job offer to you via email. 
  5. Contract/Offer: Finally, with much excitement, we'll prepare a comprehensive employment contract formalizing your new role at SkyTeam.
